Diva demands!

Hey everyone!

I hope you are all well.  I’ve been so busy since my last blog, the weeks have just flown by, I can’t believe we are half way through the year already!

I have been travelling a lot just recently, I have been visiting some amazing places, staying in fabulous hotels (and travelling in style), I am writing this blog whilst in rural Italy, having a lovely few days away with my best friend recharging our batteries.

I got an email the other day from a hotel that I have stayed in previously in London(and due to go back to) asking me my room preferences:

  • What temperature I would like the room set to?
  • What snacks I would like, sweet or savoury?
  • What time I would like my turn down service?
  • My coffee or tea preference
  • Still or sparkling water?

Well, you can imagine, I felt like a film star lol. It got me thinking about famous people and the crazy “riders” that they have built into their contracts whilst performing.

A search on Google for “Celebrity rider requests” did make me laugh, I’m not sure how serious some of these requests are, or if the celebrities  just do it because they just can and it gives them a laugh.  But here are a few of my favourites:

  • BeyoncĂ©, heavily seasoned, baked chicken legs, breasts and wings, Pepsi and the room at 78 degrees.
  • Selena Gomez insisted any crew members with the first name of “Justin” had to use a different first name (following her break up with Justin Bieber)
  • Mariah Carey 100 doves and 20 kittens, and someone employed to dispose of her gum.
  • Lady Gaga a mannequin with puffy pink pubic hair.

After reading these, I thought I would make my own rider list just for fun:

  • A litter of puppies or kittens (must be fluffy ones) that I can stroke and play with.
  • A kettle
  • A large China mug
  • Lots of flowers (no carnations)
  • Good quality English breakfast teabags
  • Semi skimmed milk (a large carton plus a spare….I panic if I think I may run out)
  • Good quality scented candles
  • A massage table and a masseur on standby
  • A harp and a harpist to play soothing music

I would love to hear what your rider would be, get in touch and give me a giggle with your ideas!

My availability dates and times are always updated at the start of the week on a Sunday, I will then also be able to confirm new rebooking requests.
